Johannsson ups total to 17 goals this season for AZ

[AMERICANS ABROAD] Aron Johannsson scored two more goals as defending champion AZ beat Heerenveen, 6-5, in a shootout after their game ended in a 2-2 tie in the Dutch Cup. The Icelandic-American has 17 goals in all competitions this season with one league game to play -- also against Heerenveen -- before the holiday break.

Johannsson has played 28 games for AZ in 2013. He moved from Danish club AGF during the winter break.

Terrence Boyd, second in scoring this fall among Americans abroad, was red carded in Rapid Vienna's 2-0 loss at Sturm Graz.

Rapid finishes the fall campaign in Austria in third place, 15 points behind leader Red Bull Salzburg. The Bundesliga resumes in February.
