[AMERICANS ABROAD]Aron Johannsson scored two more goals as defending champion AZ beat Heerenveen, 6-5, in a shootout after their game ended in a 2-2 tie in the Dutch Cup. The Icelandic-American has 17 goals in all competitions this season with one league game to play -- also against Heerenveen -- before the holiday break.

Terrence Boyd, second in scoring this fall among Americans abroad, was red carded in Rapid Vienna's 2-0 loss at Sturm Graz.

Rapid finishes the fall campaign in Austria in third place, 15 points behind leader Red Bull Salzburg. The Bundesliga resumes in February.
