[MLS TRANSACTIONS] The LA Galaxy has added to its Brazilian corps of players with the signing of 22-year-old forward Samuel on loan from Fluminense of Brazil’s Serie A. He scored 15 goals in 72 appearances for Flu in the last two seasons.
“We are pleased to add Samuel to our roster,” said LA Galaxy coach and general manager Bruce Arena. “Samuel is a young, talented forward with both size and skill. We are confident his addition will help boost our attack in 2014.”

Samuel appeared in eight games for Flu in the Copa Libertadores, helping it reach the quarterfinals in 2013.
Both Juninho and Leonardo began their MLS careers with the Galaxy on loan from Sao Paulo. Both are now the property of the Galaxy, entering their fifth seasons.

Marcelo Sarvas, the Galaxy's other Brazilian, came via Costa Rica, where he was playing for  Alajuelense.
