[THIS WEEK IN SOCCER: NSCAA Convention Edition] One of the busiest weeks in U.S. soccer continues in Philadelphia with the NSCAA Convention, site Friday's NWSL drafts. For all you need to know about what is going on.

Visit the Soccer America staff at Booth 406, right in front to the right as you enter the Exhibit Hall, which will be open through Saturday.

FRIDAY, Jan. 17
-- The NWSL College Draft will also be held in Philadelphia. North Carolina's Crystal Dunn, who has already established herself as a regular on the national team, is expected to go to the Washington Spirit with the No. 1 pick. The expansion Houston picks at No. 2, while the Chicago Red Stars hold the third and fourth picks.

NWSL: Draft Preview.

-- Making adversaries friends. Soccer America executive editor Mike Woitalla teams up with Barry Towbin, the director of New Jersey's Youth Soccer Referee Education and Development, explore various ways to make the coach-referee relationship cooperative rather than adversarial. When: 9 a.m. Where: CC-204C.

-- Being a winning coach. Longtime Soccer America contributor Dan Woog, the boys varsity coach at Staples (Conn.) High School, will be on the panel for the workshop  “Create Safe Space for LGBT Athletes: Be a Winning Coach.” When: 10:30 a.m. Where: CC-108.

-- Bocanegra's perspective. Chivas USA defender Carlos Bocanegra, the longtime U.S. national team captain, will speak on leadership in his first trip to the convention. When: 1 p.m. Where: CC-204 A.

7:00 pm: NSCAA Awards Banquet
7:30 pm: US Youth Soccer Awards Gala

In addition to the Sons of Ben hosting pre- and post-SuperDraft parties and organizing a Supporters Summit, they will also hold their annual Help Kick Hunger event (ticket info) taking place at the Field House to support Bernadine Center in Chester, home to PPL Park.

Noon: NSCAA All-America Luncheon (former U.S. and Egypt national team coach Bob Bradley will receive an Honorary All-American Award.)

SUNDAY, Jan. 19
This is usually a top-of-the-table clash: Chelsea-Manchester United (live on NBCSN, 11 a.m. ET), but the EPL teams, both under new management this season, have had contrasting seasons. Things have worked OK for Jose Mourinho, in his second stint at Chelsea, which is in the top three, but David Moyes is enduring a nightmare first season at Old Trafford. Saturday's 2-0 win at Swansea City eased the pressure on Moyes after three straight losses to start the New Year, but United sits in seventh place, 10 points off the lead, 11 if Arsenal wins on Monday.
