[SOCCER AMERICA AWARDS]Cristian Roldan, who helped Washington achieve a No. 1 ranking in the final Soccer America Top 25 of the 2013 regular season, was named the Soccer America Men's Freshman of the Year.

Roldan, the 2013 Gatorade Player of the Year out of Pico Rivera, Calif., finished his freshman campaign tied for first on the Huskies in points (16) and goals (6).

He had a goal and an assist in the Huskies' 4-2 victory over Seattle University in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Roldan is only the third player from a Pac-12 school to be named SA Freshman of the Year after David Estrada and Brad Friedel(both of UCLA).
