[AEGEAN CUP] The USA opened play at the U-17 Aegean Cup in Turkey with a 2-1 win over France. Following up on their outstanding play at the Nike International Friendlies in December, Haji Wright (LA Galaxy academy) set up Joe Gallardo (Monterrey) for the first goal, and Christian Pulisic (PA Classics) won the game with a penalty kick in the final minute.

Wright's pace gave the Bleuets fits all game, and he raced down the left wing to set up Gallardo alone in the middle for the first goal in the 31st minute.

Arnaud Nordin equalized for France in the 69th minute, but Wright was taken down in the area for a penalty kick Pulisic converted in the 80th minute. Earlier, Nordin had a penalty kick saved by Will Pulisic (Richmond Strikers), Christian's cousin.

Next up for the USA: Norway on Tuesday.
