[AMERICANS ABROAD] Aron Johannsson scored his 21st goal of the season in all competitions for Dutch club AZ in its 2-0 win at Vitesse on Tuesday. He left the game at the half, though, with a leg injury.

Johannsson's 13 goals rank third in the Eredivisie. His cross also led to AZ's first goal, an own goal. The win temporarily moved AZ into a tie for fifth place.

Leading Scorers (2013-14):
21+1 Aron Johannsson (AZ)
12 Terrence Boyd (Rapid Vienna)
8 Sacha Kljestan

Clint Dempsey's unhappy loan loan at Fulham continued as he went scoreless in the Cottagers' 1-0 overtime loss to League One (third level) club Sheffield United in their replay in the round of 32 of the English FA Cup. Dempsey has not scored in six games since returning to Craven Cottage on a two-month loan from the Seattle Sounders.

-- Alejandro Bedoya did not dress in Nantes' 2-1 loss to Paris St. Germain in the semifinals of the French League Cup.
