[MLS 2014 COUNTDOWN] The Seattle Sounders made it two wins in two days with a  2-1 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps on Thursday at Grande Sports World in Arizona.
 
Brazilian SuperDraft pick Fabio Pereira out of Michigan scored in the eighth minute and trialist Kevin Parsemain, who plays internationally for Martinique, added the second tally as Sounders FC improved to 2-0-0 in the 2014 preseason.

After winning, 2-1, over San Jose on Wednesday, the Sounders started a team that consisted of backups, draft picks and trialists.

The Whitecaps, who pulled one goal back in the opening moments of the second half on a half-volley from Erik Hurtado, started mostly first-team players. Coach Carl Robinson did give starts to recent Uruguayan signings Sebastian Fernandez and Nicolas Mezquida. Nigerian international right back Solomon Kwambe, 20, also got a start as part of his tryout.

NEW ENGLAND-FT. LAUDERDALE STRIKERS. Darrius Barnes scored the game-winning goal in the first minute of stoppage time on as the New England Revolution wrapped up its Bradenton leg of preseason training with a 2-1 comeback win over the NASL's Ft. Lauderdale Strikers. The Revs finished the 12-day trip to Bradenton with a 1-0-2 record.
 
Dimitry Imbongo had the equalizer for the Revs, who return to New England for indoor training before heading to in the Desert Diamond Cup, hosted by FC Tucson.

-- The Colorado Rapids rounded off their week in Houston with a 3-0 win over Houston Baptist University on goals from Deshorn Brown, Dillon Serna and Samuel Galindo. Colorado heads to Las Vegas next week for games against UNLV and Chivas USA.

-- The New York Red Bulls fell to USF, 2-0, in a closed-door scrimmage in Orlando.
