[NYC INVITATIONAL] The U.S. under-17 women’s national team made it two wins in two games as it defeated New Zealand, 2-0, in its second match of the 2014 Women’s NTC Invitational. The U-17s got goals in each half from Mallory Pugh and Zoe Redei.

The USA will win the tournament with a win or draw against Japan on Sunday. The match kicks off at 4 p.m. PT at Glenn “Mooch” Myernick Field at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Carson, Calif.

The USA is currently in first place in the four-team tournament with six points and a plus-6 goal differential. Japan has four points from a win and a tie and a plus-5 goal differential. China has one point from a draw and a loss while New Zealand has lost both matches so far.
