[AMERICANS ABROAD] The M*A*S*H unit worrying U.S. national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann began to empty out as Fabian Johnson returned to action -- at right back -- for Hoffenheim for the first time since breaking his hand, and Aron Johannsson (AZ) and Alejandro Bedoya (Nantes) were back in action in the Netherlands and France, respectively. Johannsson scored his 22nd goal of the season for AZ in the first half of its game against Juan Agudelo's FC Utrecht still in progress.

Leading Scorers (2013-14):
22+1 Aron Johannsson (AZ)
12 Terrence Boyd(Rapid Vienna)
8 Sacha Kljestan
(Anderlecht)
(Goals in all club competitions.)

Johnson started at right back in Hoffenheim's 4-1 win over VfB Stuttgart that moved it into 10th place in the Bundesliga. Bedoya (hamstring) and Johannsson (groin) had been out 14 and 10 days, respectively.

Jozy Altidore did not dress in Sunderland's 1-0 win over Southampton that moved it into the quarterfinals of the English FA Cup. He had played six games for Sunderland in 21 days before the Black Cats' match at Manchester City was washed out on Wednesday. In addition to a relegation fight, Sunderland has a March 2 date in the Capital One Cup final coming up.
