Watson leaves Orlando City for Minnesota
[NASL 2014 COUNTDOWN] Jamie Watson, who had 10 goals and seven assists for USL PRO champion Orlando City in 2013, has
signed with Minnesota United for the 2014 NASL season.
The 27-year-old Watson, who originally began his pro career with Real Salt Lake after starring for the U.S. U-17 national team,
spent some time on loan with Minnesota Stars FC in 2012.
"I am excited about coming back to Minnesota," he said. "I know how great a club Minnesota is and how great their fans are. It was
an easy decision for me to come back and play with the core group of guys I played with in 2012. I can't wait to get back and get going this season."
Watson is the second USL PRO forward
to sign with Minnesota, along with Christian Ramirez, who joined the club from the Charlotte Eagles.
KING BACK IN
CAROLINA. Former N.C. State star Aaron King has returned to the Carolina RailHawks after spending the 2013 season with USL PRO's Phoenix FC and FC Haka
in Finland. The forward has spent time with the Charleston Battery, Wilmington Hammerheads, Miami FC and Tampa Bay Rowdies in addition to a brief stint with the RailHawks during the 2009 season over
his seven-year pro career.
