Howard and Altidore look to get into FA Cup matches

[AMERICANS ABROAD]Tim Howard and Jozy Altidore returned home after the USA-Ukraine friendly to get set for quarterfinal matches in the English FA Cup.

Everton hosts Arsenal Saturday and Toffees manager Roberto Martinez could turn to Howard for the marquee quarterfinal matchup. Howard has sat out every FA Cup match so far in favor of young Joel Robles.

Altidore hopes to get back in the Sunderland lineup for the Black Cats' trip to his former club, Hull City, on Sunday.

Alejandro Guidobecame the latest American teen to debut at Tijuana, coming on late in Xolos' 2-0 win over Guadalajara that moved them past Chivas in the Liga MX standings.

Tijuana, which plays the LA Galaxy in the Concacaf Champions League quarterfinals, started AmericansJoe Corona and Greg Garza while Herculez Gomezand Guido came off the bench. Edgar Castillo, who usually starts at left back, was rested after playing for the USA against Ukraine on Wednesday.

DaMarcus Beasley and Michael Orozco were both carded in Puebla's loss to Toluca.
