[NASL 2014 COUNTDOWN] The New York Cosmos evened their record on their trip to the United Arab Emirates with a 3-1 win over Al Wasl in Dubai.

Former Spanish international Marcos Senna scored two goals, and Hunter Freeman's second assist in the 64th minute set up defender Jimmy Ockford for the winning goal. Ockford is playing on loan from the Seattle Sounders.

Minnesota won the first game of its English preseason tour with a 3-0 win over Evo-Stik League (seventh division) opponent Matlock Town thanks to goals from Christian Ramirez, defender Cristiano Dias and forward Nate Polak.

Minnesota will face Derby County of the League Championship on Monday to close out its 10-day stay in England.

-- The Fort Lauderdale Strikers signed 23-year-old midfielder Fabrice Picault, who was born in New York to Haitian parents, moved to South Florida in his youth and later spent time in Italy in Cagliari's youth system. He is the third new signing for the 2014 season along with goalie Oka Nikolov and  Shawn Chin.
