FC Dallas to host international tournament

[GENERATION ADIDAS U-17 CUP] FC Dallas will host the Generation adidas U-17 Cup that will feature an international tier involving nine MLS clubs and three international clubs, Chivas de Guadalajara (Mexico), Flamengo (Brazil) and Stoke City (England).

The tournament will take place April 14-20 as part of a three-year deal, at the Toyota Soccer Center at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
 
Tournament play began with three regional tournaments (East, Central and West) featuring U-17 teams from all 19 MLS clubs. The top three teams in each region advanced to the international tier and placed into three groups with the three foreign clubs. All the remaining MLS U-17 teams will compete in the national tier of the tournament except the New England Revolution and Vancouver Whitecaps, who elected not to participate in the finals.
