[VIDEO PICK: Off the Post] Upset that his team conceded a free-kick goal against Shelbourne in the League of Ireland, a Finn Harps defender, after it rolled out of the net, booted the ball full blast -- into the face of a teammate.

We're assuming he meant to kick it into the stands as frustrated defenders sometimes do.

This is what happens when you kick out in anger …

The ref looked to get the two PK calls correct but his position on both is quite bizarre. Standing on the 6-yard line is not the best position to take but he is also just beyond the left post. An errant shot could hit him and ricochet into the goal.

Agreed......he also whistles after the set-piece goal, then whistles later for a corner kick......how he was going to view potential encroachment into the Penalty Area on the PKs who knows.....?

From the highlights, the ref's decisions look to be rather good. He certainly has potential and just needs some guidance. I wonder if this game was being assessed? If so, the assessor probably saw the same thing.
