[NWSL INJURY REPORT] Brittany Bock, taken with the No. 1 pick in the 2014 NWSL expansion draft by her former college coach, Randy Waldrum, suffered a torn ACL, the Houston Chronicle reported, just 23 minutes into the Houston Dash's first-ever game, and her season is over.

The dash is Bock's fifth pro club in five seasons that began with the Los Angeles Sol in 2009. The midfielder starred for Waldrum at Notre Dame out of Naperville, Ill.

She also played on the Washington Freedom and Western New York Flash, the WPS champion in 2011, and for Sky Blue FC last year in the first NWSL season. Injuries limited her to seven games in 2013.
