[AWARDS] Goalkeeper Odisnel Cooper, who defected from Cuba to the United States in October 2012, was named USL PRO Player of the Week after he recorded a pair of shutouts in the Charleston Battery’s two road wins. For the USL PRO Team of the Week.

Cooper, one of three Cubans on the Battery, recorded eight saves in the two victories, including six saves in a 2-0 win against the Dayton Dutch Lions on Sunday night.

Orlando’s Dennis Chin and Sacramento’s Adam Jahn (on loan from the San Jose Earthquakes) were also named to the Team of the Week’s forward line. Chin had a pair of goals in a 3-1 win over OKC Energy FC on Sunday. Jahn had his second goal in as many appearances for Republic FC, which lifted its to a 2-1 win against the Orange County on Saturday night.

Last week’s USL PRO Player of the Week, Kevin Molino, earned a second consecutive Team of the Week selection after his pair of assists helped Orlando past OKC, and he is joined in the midfield by a pair of players from Arizona United SC, Kadeem Dacres and Bradlee Baladez, and Richmond’s George Davis IV.
