[NWSL: Week 6] First-place Seattle, which holds a 10-point lead after opening with seven wins and seven games, is idle this weekend as just three games are on tap in the NWSL. Western New York, FC Kansas City and Chicago can jump ahead of second-place Portland, which is also off, with wins over the weekend.

THURSDAY. Chicago came back from a goal down after 18 minutes to defeat the Boston Breakers, 3-1, in front of 1,696 fans at Harvard Stadium. Courtney Jones gave Boston the lead, but the Red Stars responded during a 13-minute span surrounding halftime on a Lori Chalupny header from Adriana Leon, an unassisted Michelle Wenino goal and an insurance goal by Jen Hoy from Samantha Johnson in the 57th minute.

WEDNESDAY. Seattle Reign FC got goals from Kendall Fletcher, Kim Little -- her league-tying sixth of the season -- and Keelin Winters to defeat FC Kansas City, 3-2, and improve to 7-0-0. The expansion Houston Dash dropped its sixth game in seven tries when it fell to the Portland Thorns, 1-0, on Jessica McDonald's fourth goal of the season.
