[SOCCER APPS] The Panini craze that hits Latin America every four years around the World Cup has spawned a market for smartphone apps for collectors seeking to track their collections and missing cards.

The New York Times reported that the iSticker Checklists app, designed and developed in Guatemala by Jose de la Roca, has 130,000 users, 71,000 in Colombia alone.

iStickerChecklists touts its app as allowing collectors to easily create, keep track and share their sticker albums or collections, replacing paper checklists.

The swapping and trading of the stickers made by the Italian publishing company Panini to complete albums have been popular worldwide since the 1970 World Cup in Mexico.
