[WORLD CUP 2014] Portugal, which will face the USA June 22 at the World Cup, cut down its 30-player provisional squad to 23 players.

Coach Paulo Bento's squad is led, of course, by Cristiano Ronaldo. All but Ronaldo and defender Pepe, who will play for Real Madrid against Atletico Madrid in Saturday's UEFA Champions League final in Lisbon, have completed their European seasons.

Portugal will train at the New York Jets' training facility in New Jersey and play friendlies against Mexico and Ireland on the East Coast before heading to Brazil.

Portugal Roster:
Goalkeepers: Eduardo (Braga), Beto (Sevilla), Rui Patricio (Sporting)
Defenders: Bruno Alves (Fenerbahce), Fabio Coentrao (Real Madrid), Joao Pereira (Valencia), Pepe (Real Madrid), Neto (Zenit St. Petersburg), Ricardo Costa (Valencia), Andre Almeida (Benfica).
Midfielders: Raul Meireles (Fenerbahce), Joao Moutinho (Monaco), William Carvalho (Sporting), Miguel Veloso (Dynamo Kiev), Ruben Amorim (Benfica), Rafa Silva (SC Braga).
Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Helder Postiga (Lazio), Eder (Braga), Nani (Manchester United), Varela (Porto), Hugo Almeida (Besiktas), Vieirinha (Wolfsburg).
