“I had no idea. Those training sessions are split in two. A couple guys from the first group got let go earlier. We were walking into the locker room, pulled aside and that’s it. Chop, chop and you’re out of there. I got up, said goodbye to the players and that was it.”

-- Seattle Sounders defender Brad Evans on being cut from the U.S. World Cup team on Thursday. He added he thought the writing might have been on the wall when all but 30 minutes of the playing time he received during his eight days in camp was at center back, not at right back, the position at which he started five games in qualifying. It is a real shame that Brad Evans was excluded from the National Team . I always thought he was a hard working player , a good player . At first , when I Saw him play , I was wondering if he was European because of his style , very confident of what he was doing in the field , witch at tines looked very professional . And when a friend told me he was an American I was very happy , and told my friend , 'boy, the real Football has finally arrived in this country " . Now I am sad , he did not please the coach . I really hope this coach knows what he is doing . I had great admiration for him . Not any more .

How Klinsman did these just seems kind of mean and unfair.

Thank you for saving us in Jamaica, Brad!! We will never forget your jersey-mask right in front of us in Kingston!! Much respect and appreciation for your solid play at right back through the hex!
