Myers' injury adds to Sporting KC miseries

[MLS: Week 13] Defending champion Sporting Kansas City hosts the 2013 Supporters' Shield champion New York Red Bulls without right back Chance Myers, who was lost for the season with a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Myers will undergo surgery on Wednesday. He suffered the season-ending injury in Sporting Kansas City's 2-2 draw with Toronto FC. Igor Jualio, a 19-year-old Brazilian, will likely start. Another option is Homegrown defender Kevin Ellis, who started at the start of the season when Myers was injured.

Jualio and Ellis started in the middle against Toronto as Matt Besler is with the U.S. national team and Aurelien Collin is injured. No other defenders suited up.
 
New York is coming off a 2-1 loss at Portland on Saturday -- its third straight defeat.
