[MLS: Week 14] MLS clubs entered the weekend following a flurry of deals as they seek to retool. Columbus sent Ghanaian Dominic Oduro to Toronto FC for Spaniard Alvaro Rey. Earlier in the week, Montreal acquired Gambian defender Futty Danso from Portland for a draft pick.

Oduro scored 46 goals in his first eight MLS seasons with four clubs but was scoreless in 11 games for the Crew in 2014. Earlier this spring, TFC acquired Collen Warner from Montreal and Luke Moore from Chivas USA.

The Impact only needed to give up a 2015 second-round draft pick to acquire Danso, an original Timber who had played in 10 games (nine starts) this season. Montreal also signed Haitian international Mechack Jerome, who had been waived by Sporting Kansas City in March.

I don't understand why Portland would give up Futty instead of Kah. They're both good, but Kah is too rough.
