[BRAZIL 2014] David Myrie has been called up by Costa Rica to replace defender Heiner Mora, who suffered a broken heel at the Ticos' first training session on Tuesday at their base in Santos.

Myrie was on the Chicago Fire's roster in 2009 but did not play an MLS game. He started the Union's opener in 2010 but was cut by the end of the month. He now plays for Herediano, the ninth club in his eight-year career.

Monday Updates: Colombia lost another player to injury as midfielder Aldo Leao Ramirez has been replaced by winger Carlos Carbonero. The Cafeteros have already lost star Radamel Falcao, as well as midfielder Edwin Valencia and defender Luis Perea.

Ramirez was injured in practice and missed Colombia's final friendly game, a 3-0 win in a friendly over Jordan in Buenos Aires on Friday. Carbonero is one of three Colombians from Argentine champion River Plate along with Eder Alvarez Balanta and Teofilo Gutierrez.

Sunday Updates: Chivas USA's Oswaldo Minda was called into Ecuador's World Cup squad to replace Segundo Castillo, who sprained his right knee in the collision that resulted in Mexican Luis Montes' broken leg. Minda increases the number of MLS players at the World Cup to 21. For the rosters of the 32 teams.

Saturday Updates: Nigeria's Monaco defender, Uwa Echiejile, was ruled out of the World Cup with a muscle tear and has been replaced by Ejike Uzoenyi (Enugu Rangers).

-- Shkodran Mustafi (Sampdoria) replaced Marco Reus on the Germany roster after the Borussia Dortmund star was ruled out of the World Cup with an ankle injury.

Friday Updates: Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich/GER) and Clement Grenier (Lyon) were replaced by Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton) and Remy Cabella (Montpellier) after the June 2 deadline with injuries.
