[INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLIES] A day after being left off the roster for Manchester United’s U.S. tour, Javier Hernandez was added to the squad that opens against the LA Galaxy in a friendly on Wednesday. “Chicharito” will join United on Tuesday.

The original 25 players picked for the United tour flew to Los Angeles on Friday afternoon. Missing for the United squad are Dutch forward Robin van Persie, French defender Patrice Evra and Belgian midfielder Maroune Fellaini, all players, like Hernandez, whose teams reached the knockout round of the World Cup. United will likely sell all but van Persie if deals could be reached.

-- The MLS Supporters Shield-leading Seattle Sounders played to a 3-3 tie with Tottenham before 55,349 fans on Saturday afternoon. Osvaldo Alonso beat Spurs' American keeper, Brad Friedel, from 30 yards for the goal of the game. Gonzalo Pineda scored from the penalty spot for the Sounders and Tristan Bowen added the third Seattle goal. Two of the three Tottenham goals came on penalty kicks. Previous Seattle games against EPL opponents ended in 2-0 and 4-0 losses to Chelsea and 7-0 defeat to Manchester United. Tottenham was playing without five World Cup players who are still on vacation.
