[USL PRO: Week 19] Jose Cuevas, who had spent the last two seasons with the Charleston Battery, scored on a penalty kick in his first game back in USL PRO to help earn it a 1-1 draw against the Richmond Kickers at Blackbaud Stadium. Cuevas had spent the summer in the PDL with the Fresno Fuego, where he had previously played for three years.

Cuevas opened the scoring in the seventh minute before celebrating with a kiss to the Battery crest on his uniform. Jason Yeisley responded quickly with a goal for the Kickers in the 14th minute.

“I wanted to show the people that I didn’t leave because I don’t like the Battery,” Cuevas, who returned to California after an offseason contract impasse. “I want to be with the Battery as long as I can.”

-- The Harrisburg City Islanders played to a 3-3 tie with OKC Energy FC. The Islanders led on goals by Matt Bahner and Pedro Ribeiro in the first 23 minutes before OKC responded with three goals -- one by Danvila Delgado and two by Kyle Greig -- to take the lead at the half. OKC keeper Samir Badr kept the Islanders at bay in the second half until Ribeiro's equalizer in the 84th minute.
