[CROWD COUNT]The record crowd of 109,318 in Ann Arbor, Mich., for the Man. United-Real Madrid capped a big day for soccer crowds in the United States.

The Liverpool-AC Milan game drew 69,364 fans in Charlotte, a record for a match in North Carolina, and the San Jose Earthquakes drew 48,765 for the opening game of the NFL 49ers' new Levi's Stadium.

I don't understand why they moved Olympiakos/Milan game from NYC to Toronto. Playing in NYC for any Italian team would have better attendance than playing in Toronto or Philadelphia.

In Philadelphia there were plenty of Italian-Americans in attendance but ticket prices kept away all but the one percent. Tickets started at $54 and went above $200 for a meaningless, albeit entertaining, pre-season match.
