[MLS: Friday] Chris Wondolowski scored one goal and set up fellow DP Matias Perez Garcia, who was making his MLS debut, for a second goal as the visiting San Jose Earthquakes twice led the LA Galaxy before the teams played to a 2-2 tie in their California Clasico that saw the Galaxy finish with a 24-3 edge in shots.

Against the run of play, the Quakes twice went ahead but the Galaxy twice equalized, first on Gyasi Zardes' ninth goal of the season and then on Omar Gonzalez's near-post header early in the second half.

The result moved the Galaxy into third place in the Western Conference and the Quakes to within six points of the playoff zone with two games in hand on fifth-place Colorado.

-- Landon Donovan earned his 300th career start in the match, becoming just the eighth player to reach the plateau.
