[USL PRO: Week 21] The Orange County Blues got back into the USL PRO playoff tier when they snapped a six-match losing streak with a 1-0 victory at the Rochester Rhinos on Sunday night. Allan Russellscored his team-leading seventh goal from the penalty spot in the 41st minute for the only goal.

Former Rochester Rhinos striker Andrew Hoxie helped OC open the scoring in the 40th minute when he dribbled across the penalty area until he was met by the challenge of Rochester center back Babacar Diallo that was ruled a foul.

Aaron Perez made three saves for his first shutout of the 2014 season as the Blues jumped four spots into eighth place in the standings.

The Richmond Kickers got first-half goals from George Davis IV and Luke Vercollone and held on to beat the Charlotte Eagles, 2-1, and move to within one point of first-place Orlando City, a 3-2 loser at Harrisburg. Richmond is now unbeaten in 20 straight games.

The City Islanders, who have won four games in a row, moved into fifth place with their win over Orlando City on two goals by Robbie Derschangand one by Antoine Hoppenot off his own missed penalty kick. Late goals by Kevin Molinoand Giuseppe Gentile made the game close.

Third-place Sacramento Republic FC and the fourth-place LA Galaxy II also won in late games.
