Sevilla on Sunday signed Argentine playmaker Ever Banega from Valencia for 2.5 million euros ($3.3 million). The 26-year-old had not appeared for Valencia since returning from a loan spell at Newell’s Old Boys in Rosario, Argentina.

    So Banega will get one more chance. Let's see if he can use it. Otherwise he will remain one with incredible gift, incredible talent, incredible touch on the ball. But never to be able to unleash it reliably or regularly in large part because he lacks the personal discipline of top professional sport. Namely: Be fit. There are guys who struggle with diet and weight. Then there are those who just flaunt their gift and show so little discipline. Let's hope that with now 26 years of age, Banega has seen than he only has 2-3 years left for top flight football like this. He's nearing the end of his career. Time to make it count.
