[VIDEO PICK: Donovan Scoring Record] Landon Donovan added to his all-time MLS scoring record with a penalty kick in the LA Galaxy's 4-1 win over D.C. United.

The goal was the 141st of his career and 29th from the penalty spot.

Only Jaime Moreno has more career penalty kicks with 44.

Donovan, who beat United keeper Bill Hamid after preparing for the spot kick with his customary squatting to his knees, scored for a third consecutive game to seal the win the 75th minute.

He now has seven goals in his record-breaking season.

With 2 more assists, he is 8 assists behind the all time leader Ralston. Can he break this record too before he retires?
