Howard's Everton pummeled by Chelsea

[AMERICANS ABROAD] Tim Howard endured one of his longest afternoons with Everton as the Toffees fell to Chelsea, 6-3, at Goodison Park. Howard was lucky to still be on the field for the end as he was twice involved in incidents that could have earned him a red card.

The first was for an uncalled hand ball outside the area in the ninth minute -- six minutes after Chelsea had already put two goals past him -- and the second was for grabbing Diego Costa after the Blues' new star mocked Howard's teammates, Seamus Coleman.

Twelve of the 15 players who were called into Wednesday's USA-Czech Republic game and whose teams were in action abroad on Friday and Saturday have played so far this weekend. The only players who did not dress were Geoff Cameron and Brek Shea of Stoke City, a 1-0 winner over Manchester City. Cameron is injured and both players might be transferred before the summer transfer window closes.
