Molino hat trick powers Orlando City to 7-0 rout

[USL PRO: Week 24] Kevin Molino added to his USL PRO scoring record with a hat trick and added two assists as Orlando City crushed Dayton, 7-0, and moved closer to winning the the Commissioner’s Cup as regular-season champion.

Molino had his second hat trick of the season within the hour mark to give him 19 goals on the season. Austin da Luz added two goals and Giuseppe Gentile and Adama Mbengue also scored for Orlando City, which will clinch the Commissioner’s Cup as regular-season champion with a win or tie at Wilmington on Wednesday.

The Charleston Battery became the fifth team to clinch a USL PRO playoff berth when it beat Pittsburgh, 4-0, on Saturday night in front of a crowd 4,181 at Blackbaud Stadium. The Rochester Rhinos snapped a four-game winless streak with a 4-1 victory at Harrisburg that solidified their position in the playoff picture with a week to go.

The Battery got a hat trick from forward Dane Kelly, but the big play was a save by goalkeeper Odisnel Cooper on Jose Angulo's penalty kick with the score at 1-0.

Three second-half goals by Alec Sundly, JC Banks and Babacar Diallo allowed the Rhinos to break a 1-1 tie.
