Mexico international Giovani dos Santos could miss the rest of the La Liga season after he suffered a Grade 1 strain in his right thigh during the warm-up ahead of Sunday’s 0-0 drawagainst Cordoba. The 25-year-old former Barcelona forward has had an injury hit season, starting just 14 of Villarreal’s 32 league matches. Dos Santos will hope to recover in time for the CONCACAFGold Cup, which begins in July.
