The New York Red Bulls on Monday announced the signing of former England international Shaun Wright-Phillips. Wright-Phillips, 33, was a free agent after being released by QPR at the end oflast season. The winger, who played for Manchester City and Chelsea earlier in his career, will link up with his brother Bradley at the MLS club. Wright-Phillips made 36 appearances for Englandand represented the country at the 2010 World Cup. He will be available to make his debut in Saturday’s match away to the Philadelphia Union.
