MLS Moves: Dynamo and Fire unload key attackers

The Vancouver Whitecaps acquired English forward Giles Barnes, who had been the Houston Dynamo captain under ousted coach Owen Coyle. The ‘Caps gave the Dynamo General Allocation Moneyand a right of first refusal for Costa Rican defender Keyner Brown, under contract with Herediano in the Costa Rican first division. The Dynamo will retain a percentage of any future transferfees if Barnes, who scored 31 goals in 113 MLS games, is loaned or transferred outside the league.
