MOST READ

Listeners tuned in to a live radio interview with Brazilian star Roberto Carlos heard the famous left back say, ''They just robbed my car, they just robbed my car.''

The Real Madrid player was in Belo Horizonte, conducting the interview via cell phone while in the passenger seat, when armed robbers who arrived on motorcycle amid dense traffic stripped the driver of his ring and cell phone.

Also in the car was Roberto Carlos' girlfriend and an unarmed bodyguard.

According to Reuters, the interview continued and Roberto Carlos was asked about Brazil's crime problem.

''It happens everywhere,'' he says. ''It is a problem in our country because many people are out of work. But anyhow, I miss my country a lot and will keep coming.''
