Allison Horn, a19-year-old freshman at Texas Tech, died Wednesday from injuries she suffered in a car accident Friday, March 21, in Bedford, Texas.

Horn played 15 games for the Lobos in 2002. She was a Texas all-state player at Colleyville Heritage High School, a Texas high school player.

The Ford Explorer in which she and her mother, Deborah Horn, were traveling near Ft. Worth en route from eastbound Airport Freeway to the Texas 121 on-ramp, was rear-ended and rolled over. Allison Horn was wearing her seat belt but was thrown from the SUV and found underneath it.

Deborah Horn was treated and released the same evening.

Laraine Alison Allred, who was driving the other car, was arrested on suspicion of intoxication assault.

Tech's game scheduled Friday night against the New Zealand national team was canceled.
