Agent: Tevez Close to EPL Move

For the fifth day in a row, Sao Paolo club Corinthians has no idea where Carlos Tevez, its former captain, has disappeared to. The only one speaking on his behalf, it seems, is his agent, Adrian Rucco, who insists that his client is close to securing a move a major Premiership club. "Tevez is very close to moving to an English club," Rucco said earlier today. However, not one Premiership club has stood up to say it's either interested in or having talks with the player. Tevez has often spoken of his admiration for Manchester United. He's also been spotted several times wearing United merchandise. Things turned sour for the 22-year-old Argentine at Corinthians after new coach Emerson Leao stripped the player of the captain's armband, claiming that nobody could understand him. The last time Tevez was seen was last Sunday, when he played in a 1-0 victory against Botafogo. After that game, the 2004 and 2005 South American Player of the Year said he may have played his last game for the club, and has since gone missing. Corinthians is hovering near the relegation zone of the championship as it is. Read the original story...
