MLS suspended Los Angeles Galaxy defender Ugo Ihemelu for two games and
fined him $750 for serious foul play after he broke the leg of D.C. United
midfielder Domenic Mediate on Saturday. Referee Mark Geiger did
not punish Ihemelu, who had already been cautioned for a reckless foul early in
the game, for chopping down Mediate. Ihemelu has been called for 50 fouls in 23
games this season and has been cautioned seven times. To view the incident, go
