[COACHING MOVES] The decision by Indiana to replace Mike Freitag with ToddYeagley continues to reverberate across the country. Yeagle’s departure from Wisconsin led to John Trask leaving UIC for the Badgers, while Brian Maisonneuve‘s move from Louisville, where he was an assistant under Ken Lolla, to alma mater Indiana, where wasreunited with Yeagley, resulted in Mario Sanchez leaving his head coaching job at UNLV to rejoin Lolla’s coaching staff.

Sanchez, who spentthe last four seasons as the head coach at UNLV, was on Lolla’s Akron staff from 2003-05.

“We are so excited to reunite with Mario,” said Lolla.  “He is anoutstanding person as well as a great coach.  He has done a tremendous job at rebuilding UNLV and he will be a wonderful addition to our program.”

Last season Sanchez guidedthe Rebels to their first winning season since 2002 with an overall record of 8-7-4. His 2009 squad was the youngest team in the nation with 12 freshmen and 14 newcomers to the squad.
