Six Partizan Belgrade fans among the thousands who chanted death threats and insults at B92 reporter Brankica Stankovic during a match in December between Partizan Belgrade andUkrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk have been charged by Serbia’s state prosecuto. They also tossed around and punctured an inflatable rubber effigy of her.

A recent TV documentary by Stankovicfound that leaders of Serbian soccer supporters and their groups are suspected of serious crimes, including drug trafficking and murder, yet remain free. The six are charged with violent behavior andthreatening the safety of the journalist. Partizan Belgrade fans were also behind the fatal beating last September of a French Toulouse fan in the Serbian capital.
