Ndamukong Suh, expected to be a top five pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, originally wanted to follow in the footsteps of his father, who was born in Cameroon andplayed semi-pro soccer in Germany before immigrating to Oregon in 1981.

Ndamukong wanted to play soccer, but he was so big — he weighed 238 pounds when he was 12 — that he scaredparents of opposing players and attracted unwanted attention from referees. “I moved away from soccer because I got too many red cards,” said Suh.

Suh once picked up an injured player byhis shorts with one hand. When he turned to youth football, his strength was equally outrageous. Not sure who had the ball, he once grabbed three players in the opposing backfield and tackled allthree of them. Suh, who now stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 305 pounds, has been called one of the most dominating tackles to ever enter the pro ranks.
