Qwest Field, where the Seattle Sounders draw the biggest crowds in MLS, is getting a name change. The stadium that is also home of NFL’s Seattle Seahawks will officially be renamed CenturyLinkField and CenturyLink Event Center.

CenturyLink purchased Qwest in April.

Opened as Seahawks Stadium in 2002, the team sold the naming rights for the stadium to thetelecommunications company in 2004. The initial agreement with Qwest called for the company to pay about $75 million over 15 years, with a five-year renewal option available after 10 years in2014.
