New Jersey native and Italian international Giuseppe Rossi, in New York this week to participate in the Showdown in Chinatown organized by NBA star Steve Nash,
says he's not getting his hopes too high regarding a possible move to Barcelona.
“I’m not really trying to think of it as much, because there’s been stuff in the papers," says Rossi, who has been among the top scorers in Spain playing for Villarreal and notched a career high 18 league goals last season. "Sometimes in the papers, things aren’t true, aren’t correct."
Barca is also on the hunt for Udinese's Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez, and so Rossi is preparing for another season at Villarreal, which by finishing fourth last season will play in the Champions League qualifying phase.
