Leeds United has banned a great-grandmother from its Elland Road stadium for invading the field. Margaret Musgrove, 63, was given an automatic ban by Leeds after she went on to the
grass during the last game of the season in May.
Musgrove, who says she has 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, was caught by TV cameras walking across the penalty area with her arms in the air at the end of the match against Burnley. She was grabbed by stewards and taken to holding cells.
"It's not like I am a hooligan," she said. "People who do much worse than this get the same ban. I just wanted to shout 'Lads, I love you.'"
