[WEST VIRGINIA-USF] No. 16 West Virginia’s 13-game winning streak at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium — the longest active home winning streak in the country — wassnapped when the Mountaineers fell to No. 18 USF, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon in front of 1,375 fans.

West Virginia had a 14-5 edge in shots and 7-2 advantage in corner kicks and even tookthe early lead when Shadow Sebele scored his third goal in as many games in the eighth minute of action on a left-footed liner past USF keeper Chris Blais.

But the Bulls did not fold, tying the score seven minutes later when English transfer Dom Dwyer putaway his fifth goal of the season.

Freshman Lucas Baldin, a product of Mexican powerhouse Toluca’s farm system, scored the game-winner for theBulls in the 74th minute on a free kick from 25 yard.

“They’re the top team we’ve seen so far,” said USF coach GeorgeKiefer of the Mountaineers. “To beat them at their place with that streak they had going on, I think says a lot about our group.”
