[AROUND THE COUNTRY] Gimel Gordon‘s superb goal in the 80th minute gave Georgia State (8-2-1) a 1-0 win over William& Mary in a key CAA test that confirms the Panthers’ place as a conference contender.
The win snapped GSU’s five-game losing streak against the Tribe. The Panther defense, which hasallowed only six goals in 11 games, had another tremendous game, limiting William & Mary to one shot on goal.
“A win like this is huge for the program and really big for the seasontoo,” GSU coach Brett Surrency said.
