[U.S. YOUTH SOCCER] Reflecting the parity in the U.S. Youth Soccer National League, teams from seven different state associations won the eight division titlesin this season’s championship. Illinois was the only state to walk off with more than one crown as Chicago Magic and Galaxy won division titles in the season that concluded at the Bettye Wilson SoccerComplex in Las Vegas. The eight division champs move on to the 2012 U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships.

Galaxy needed a victory over the CUP Crew Jrs. Gold to guarantee the U-17Blue division crown on the final day of play, and a second-half goal surge sent its on its way to this summer’s nationals in South Carolina. Galaxy got three goals in six minutes from Colin Donnally, Patrick Flynn and Madisen Gonzalez to roll to the championship with3-1 win.

The idle Magic clinched a repeat berth at the nationals when Albion SC White, the only team that could catch the 2011 National Championship finalist, fell to MSC Magic Green,3-1, on the first day of U-15 play in Las Vegas. Albion needed a sweep to overtake Magic.
