A total of 1,348,000 viewers — 992,000 for English-language coverage and 356,000 for Spanish-language coverage — tuned in for the U.S. televisioncoverage of the final day of the English Premier League season, a jump of 72 percent over 2011 final day viewing.
All 10 games aired live on seven English-languagenetworks, two Spanish-language networks and three Internet streams.
The largest rating was for Manchester City’s 3-2 victory over Queens Park Rangers.
The game was seen by anaverage 600,000 viewers on ESPN2 and 189,000 on ESPN Deportes.
The audience climbed to 987,000 on ESPN2 for the last quarter hour when City came backfrom 2-1 down to win and finish ahead of Manchester United on goal difference for its first title in 44 years.
