Clint Dempsey spoke with The Sun about he is settling in at Tottenham since his $10 million move from Fulham in August. The USA international hit 23 goals in all competitions lastyear, but has managed just two goals and two assists in 13 appearances in all competitions this season. During Sunday’s 3-1 home win against West Ham United, Dempsey fed GarethBale with a lovely scooped pass for what proved to be the game winner.

The 29-year-old Texan believes he can continue to improve after sitting down with coach AndreVillas-Boas to study game footage. “I’ve been looking at videos with the manager and just trying to figure out a way to make an impact and help the team,” Dempsey said.“Every team is different and there’s a period of adjustment. I didn’t have a preseason at all, so I’m trying to play catch-up a little bit.

He added: “I’vebeen frustrated at not really getting on the ball or affecting games. I’m better when I can go on the half-turn and face my opponents, rather than playing with my back to goal. Against West Ham,I did a better job in that respect and I thought I did well.”
